Adele Robertson Teaching Yoga in Kerela, India 2014

To find a British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) qualified teacher in your area see The British Wheel of Yoga 'Find a teacher' tool or the British Wheel of Yoga South West Region website. The British Wheel of Yoga is a registered charity running for over 40 years. The British Wheel of Yoga is recognised by the Central Council for Physical Recreation (CCPR) and Sport England as the national Governing Body for Yoga.

I have been studying Yoga since my early twenties. Yoga became a passion of mine when it helped me through my university courses, jobs and stressful times. I decided to undertake a Yoga teaching qualification, as many teachers do, to learn more about the subject. I qualified with the British Wheel of Yoga, studying for four years under with Wendy Teasdill and gained a British Wheel of Yoga foundation course and teaching diploma.

I have been teaching Yoga in Somerset since 2005. I have also undertaken specialist qualifications with the British Wheel of Yoga in 'Teaching Yoga to pregnant women' and 'Teaching Yoga to children'. I now enjoy a varied working life, teaching weekly classes to all ages, from mothers with babies and children, to adults, pregnant women and the elderly.

My study of Yoga has led me into the practise of meditation. I am currently studying Tibetan Buddhist meditation with Maarten Vermasse

and have completed the British Wheel of Yoga module in 'Meditation and Personal Development' and am continuing my studies with Meditation Modules 2 and 3.
