Mother and Baby Yoga, also known as 'Postnatal recovery Yoga', is a great way to enjoy gentle and appropriate exercise after having your baby. You can attend once your baby is 6 weeks old and you have had a postnatal check- up with your doctor or health care professional. This class will tone your core stability muscles and stretch away tension from the back and shoulders. Mum's report feeling "Great all over", "More relaxed" and "Good to be doing something with my body again". Its a very relaxed and friendly class during which your baby remains close to you throughout. You can feed your baby and change nappies as required and the babies are entertained with songs and props such scarves.
